Zarla
Woof! My journey at NSPOT has been nothing short of paw-some! I joined the team after months of practising my best puppy-dog eyes, perfecting my clinic manners, and proving I could be the goodest girl on the job. Now, I trot into the clinic each week to help the SPs and OTs make sessions extra special. My favourite part? All the cuddles (from kids and adults. I don’t discriminate).
What is the highlight of your day/week?
Easy, the moment I walk in and hear:
“IS THAT ZARLA?!”
I love greeting my favourite kiddos, motivating them to move, communicate, and be brave. I’m especially good at reminding everyone to take breaks, breathe, and sneak in an extra pat or two. Seeing the kids smile makes my tail wag faster than a fidget spinner.
Favourite therapy tools or activities (and why!)
I absolutely LOVE:
- Treats (very therapeutic… for me)
- Walking laps around the clinic
- Being brushed (self-care queen)
- Helping shy kiddos feel comfy by sitting beside them like their fuzzy emotional-support beanbag
And if your therapist gives me a snack? Well, that might just become my goal for the session.
Fun Facts About Me
- I take my job very seriously… unless I’m napping. Then please wait 5–7 business minutes.
- My tail has knocked over approximately 7 water bottles so far.
- I believe everyone deserves a cuddle, even on Mondays.
- No one resist my cute, sad, puppy dog eyes.
