About Chantelle

What inspired you to become an OT?
During my time at school I knew I wanted to work within healthcare where I could make a difference in people’s lives. At school I learnt that I had a part of me that is logical and also a creative side. I discovered occupational therapy after compleing my HSC and I felt like it would be a good fit. The key reason why I wanted to be an OT was that I could use both my logical thinking and creativity to assist people to engage in meaningful parts of their life to the fullest.

Who do you like to work with?
During university I had the opportunity to have a clinical placement at NSPOT. This was my favourite placement where I gained an understanding of the importance of early intervention. I enjoy working with children and families to teach children skills they can use throughout their life.

Greatest accomplishment:
My greatest accomplishment has been completing my university degree.
