About Julia
What inspired you to become a speechie?
I’ve always wanted a career where I can help people and make a meaningful difference in their lives. I’ve always had an interest in language and communication, so Speech Pathology was the perfect fit! Communication is such an integral part of our lives and often something we take for granted, so it’s such a privilege to be able to support individuals in communication. I also love working with children, because I find it so rewarding to help support their development and positively impact their future. And of course, it’s super fun!
Who do you like to work with?
I enjoy variety and supporting a whole range of clients – from toddlers to school-aged children, and enjoy working on speech sound disorders, language, literacy and stuttering. I also enjoy working on functional communication.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
To date, my greatest accomplishment would be completing my degree and becoming a fully qualified speech pathologist!

I love reading a good book! I really enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and trying out new restaurants and cafes.
