What inspired you to work in the area of Speech Pathology?
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work with people and make a difference. As communication is so pivotal in all areas of life, I knew it would be a rewarding career and an area that is in need for more therapists.
I chose to start at NSPOT as a Speech Pathology Assistant so I could gain further experience while completing my final year of university.
Who do you like to work with?
I have a passion for working with children and adolescents in all areas of communication, including language, speech, fluency (stuttering), voice and social communication.
I also enjoy liaising with families to ensure they play a role in improving their child’s communication skills, and ultimately their quality of life.

I wouldn’t say I have a favourite speech game – I love being creative and choosing games that I think will be most motivating for my clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love travelling, exercising and trying the latest food trends. I have also recently developed a love for floristry design!
Although I have not yet graduated, my greatest accomplishment is choosing a career path that will allow me to make a difference in peoples lives!
